BILLBOARDS TO TURN INTO MODERN SMALL HOUSES

Well, how would it look if a billboard is turned into a fascinating tiny house at some really exciting places like in the middle of a pond or a maize field?  As we live in digital age and advertising is going more and more online, what is the future fate of the less famous billboards around the world? So, the twisting fate of billboards is our fail of the day!

Well, transportation conservation is becoming an increasing economic and ecological concern, the billboards are anticipated to be taken away from the scene gradually. But, it some real creative architects says that it could be charmingly utilized! A proposal by Front Architects, a polish architecture company suggests turning these billboards into lofted homes – small houses, but located in some potentially fascinating places.

Some of these unusually thin homes could be built in place from scratch, others could be transported to new locations or even left where they are in the urban environment. As with so many good design projects the feasibility of this specific idea as such is not of singular or even primary importance – the concept provides a foundation for rethinking everyday urban structures, artifacts of the built environment, that we might find new and different uses for as times change.

The above image is only a computer-generated overlay in a real situation. Still, just think what would it be like to live in somewhere so public yet also removed from the street level? Somewhere surrounded by four walls and lifted up from the ground but at the same time exposed on all sides? It’s exciting! So start counting down!

'LOVE HAS NO LABELS' VIDEO GOES VIRAL IN YOU TUBE

A PSA from the Ad Council for its 'Love Has no Labels' campaign is one of the biggest things on social media, racking up tens of millions of views on Facebook and YouTube
Sometimes even the most apparent thing comes as a surprise. And, when it leaves us with a warm, fuzzy feeling in our hearts, that's when we know there has been a connect. Ad Council's latest PSA has taken the social world by storm by challenging perceptions and labels. A PSA from the Ad Council for its 'Love Has no Labels' campaign is one of the biggest things on social media, racking up tens of millions of views on Facebook and YouTube.
The Ad Council debuted the first public service announcement in its “Love Has No Labels” campaign Tuesday, featuring couples, families, and friends of different races, religions, and sexual orientations to promote the an overarching message of diversity and inclusion.
Clocking in at just over three minutes, the heartwarming clip begins with a giant x-ray monitor in the middle of a busy outdoor shopping center in Santa Monica, Calif., showing two skeletons kissing. As a crowd gathers, two women emerge from behind the screen and share a hug and kiss, as the screen displays a message reading “Love has no gender.”

The 'Love Has No L A PSA from the Ad Council for its 'Love Has no Labels' campaign is one of the biggest things on social media, racking up tens of millions of views on Facebook and YouTubeabels' campaign challenges and makes us accept our own personal bias. It starts with a reflection of two skeletons kissing each other behind a screen. When people emerge from behind the screen, it is revealed that they, in fact, are two women in love. The screen then flashes the message.  A touching new PSA by Ad Council for their "Diversity and Inclusion" campaign aims to make people aware of implicit biases. 'Love has no gender'. More skeletal reflections follow and more prejudices are broken - including those related to age, disability, race, gender and colour. The campaign ends with the core thought - 'Love Has No Labels'. The sight of skeletons usually does not inspire the warm fuzzies. Most of the time it means you're in something like a dungeon or watching the 1929 Disney short "The Skeleton Dance."
Basically, skeletons are either terrifying or hilarious. But a new PSA from the Ad Council shows that skeletons can warm your heart too.
The Ad Council recently released a lovely video for its "Love Has No Labels" campaign in an effort to promote tolerance for people of all backgrounds, no matter their age, religion, race or sexual orientation. And it is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. The good kind.
The video opens with an X-ray of two skeletons making out. You can't tell what the two individuals look like other than their bones, which is obviously the point. The couple comes out from behind the screen to reveal that they are two women. The three-minute spot continues in this way, showing couples of all different types, from gay to straight to elderly to biracial to those where each partner practices a different religion.

This is what the video's YouTube page says: "While the vast majority of Americans consider themselves unprejudiced, many of us unintentionally make snap judgments about people based on what we see - whether it's race, age, gender, religion, sexuality or disability. This may be a significant reason many people in the US report that they feel discriminated against. Subconscious prejudice - called "implicit bias" - has profound implications on how we view and interact with others who are different from us. It can hinder a person's ability to find a job, secure a loan, rent an apartment, or get a fair trial, perpetuating disparities in American society. The 'Love Has No Labels' campaign challenges us to open our eyes to our bias and prejudice and work to stop it in ourselves, our friends, our families and our colleagues. Rethink your bias at lovehasnolabels.com."
The video received 3.5 million views in just one day.
The video invites people to go to the microsite lovehasnolabels.com where people can take quizzes to figure out if they have any implicit bias, without knowing it themselves. There are also personal stories from people who have been discriminated against. The site, more importantly, gives an answer as to how can one stop bias.

NATIVE ADVERTISING, THE MOST TRENDING ONLINE MARKETING TACTIC IN 2015

Relatively a new tool in the online marketing, developing media strategy is on the rise and showing promise of superseding traditional means of advertising. Hotly contested by some and praised by others,  many leading brands in the world has started exploring Native advertising as an efficient and effective vehicle to seed their content & reach and engage with their targeted audience. Fashion and beauty segment, which are booming industries are the early adapters of this tool. Global players like Yahoo, Adyoulike, AdZouk and Connate are already making noise in this emerging and effective marketing tool.

Native advertising is a form of paid media where the ad experience follows the natural form and function of the user experience in the online medium it is placed. It is a sub division of the catch-all content marketing, meaning the practice of using content to build trust and engagement with potential customers through online platform. It’s actually a directly paid opportunity that is content based and delivered without disrupting the user experience. Native ads can be tweets on Twitter, suggested posts on Facebook or even full-page ads.

Traditional Advertising Vs Native Advertising

Traditional display ads are the boxes and banners we’re all used to seeing at the top of web pages. Native ads are an entirely different. With a design that matches the style of the page they’re featured creating a subtler and less disruptive experience for users. However, it has emerged as the most trending and growing online advertising tool of the age.

They should not be confused with sponsored content. An easy way to remember the difference is that if it’s promotional, it’s an ad and if it’s editorial, it’s sponsored content. Native advertising can have an educational component.  It aims at convincing rather than informing the audience. Native advertising uses a brand’s voice and motives to influence content. However, sponsored content is un-biased and strictly editorial; it aims to elevate a brand by showcasing subject-matter expertise.

Advantages of native advertising

The nature of the content of native ads makes it more likely to go viral online. Native ads are more likely to be shared than banner ads - 32% compared to 19%. The amount of time users view native ads is also the same as the attention they pay to editorial content.
Native ads have been shown to perform better on mobile than those of traditional design as well. This is because in order to make an effective native ad, it has to be relevant to the content in which it is featured—unlike traditional ads that are placed on screen and don’t necessarily match up with messaging.

Disadvantages of native advertising

According to an Advertising Age article, native advertising has a long way to go to outspend traditional advertising. It also points out that this new means of advertising has multiple hurdles to overcome.

One point suggests that since this is a new strategy, media and consumer hype could be clouding the metrics. On top of that, the analytics being used to monitor native ads are not up-to-par with traditional advertising.

Other concerns revolve around the fact that audience targeting isn’t accurate enough and that consumers may feel tricked into reading ads and develop a negative mind set of brands.
Transparency is also a huge issue that is being discussed by many in the industry.
